Chicago Area Radar Image (updates every 60 seconds)
How to use this page
The radar images on this page are updated constantly with new data from Fox Live Power Doppler.
Blue indicates light rain, green indicates rain, yellow and red indicate heavy rain and thunderstorms, while purple and black indicate extremely heavy rain and hail. These are dangerous storms! Take cover if you are in the path of one.
You can choose your radar view from the list on the right side of each page, and either see the latest image, or a one hour loop.
You can also view the live output from Fox Live Power Doppler here.
This is the same view Fox Chicago Meteorologists use. In times of severe weather, you will see the radar pan and zoom as Amy, Tammie, Mark and Steve manipulate the radar. You will also see small icons appear representing storm reports, and various other severe weather indicators.

This tool will let you see lightning strikes as they happen, and zoom into a city-level to see where they may be causing problems. The map updates every five minutes and displays lightning for the Chicago area, and around the rest of the country.
